The Choir “The Rifleman” Chase The Kangaroo

Recently here in Idaho a 42 year long tradition was disrupted by the current administration of having a military flyover during the event. The event known as God & Country” was started by Chuck Connors who played The Rifleman on the tv series. (which I watched faithfully as a child) In my opinion, (for what it is worth), the adminstration owes the people of Idaho and apology.

Don’t mistake this as purely right wing Christian opinion. If there was a muslim group publically celebrating America for 42 to years, I would be just as offended by this apparent lack of discretion.

Newsboys “All I can See” Hell Is For Wimps (1989)

This album propelled this Australian group into the limelight, a very strong follow up to thier debut LP, which showed promise but lacked definition. The next release “Boys Will Be Boys” was even stronger, cementing the group’s place at the front of the line.

This song reminds me of Erasure. Just sayin’.

Amy Grant “Sure Enough” Lead Me On (1988)

Here is another artist with beauty and talent like Kim Boyce, who ‘lead the way’ by creating incredibly accessible, dancable, hummable, touching, music that radio loved.

Micheal W. Smith “Persuit Of A Dream” The Big Picture (1986)
As reported back in May, Stryper is releasing there album one song at a time every 6 days on iTunes. (I betting they rest on the 7th?) Anyhoo, this has already started, and currently the 6th song on the album “Love Is Why”is now available through iTunes.

Best part I was recently notified they are planning a tour to support the album. (Time to dust off the spanks and spandex, eh?)

Base on the previews I heard, I was really impressed. This is the album they would have released had they not went all “Against The Law”, I know- woulda, shoulda, coulda. But Stryper fans will not be disappointed. I love what I am hearing. Is it a new post modern iteration that will draw new and younger fans in? Mmmm, maybe some.

U2 “With Or Without You” The Joshua Tree (1987)

See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you

Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait without you

With or without you
With or without you

Through the storm we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And Im waiting for you

With or without you
With or without you
I cant live
With or without you

And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

My hands are tied
My body bruised, shes got me with
Nothing to win and
Nothing left to lose

And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

With or without you
With or without you
I cant live
With or without you

Steve Taylor “Am I In Sync” Meltdown (1983)

Minstrel, Prophet, Poet, Clown, Steve Taylor has been accused of many things. When this album came out it superseded the first face slap the chosen frozen had received. Sonically it remains a work of art. Each song is a picture. Each song is a story. With it’s own tragedy & humor. Listen and enjoy the Steve.

(Has Steve Taylor and Terri Taylor ever produced anything together?)
